Join the Welsh Children’s Laureate, poet Alex Wharton as he introduces his award nominated new book ‘Doughnuts, Thieves and Chimpanzees’!
You’ll explore different poetic styles, song writing and raps, and see how they all bloom from the same place. Alex will inspire a love of language, rhythm and rhyme with his dynamic and engaging poetry session, sparking imagination and curiosity.
Alex Wharton is the current Welsh Children’s Laureate and is an award-winning writer and performer of poetry. His debut collection, Daydreams and Jellybeans has been a critical and commercial success and Alex is now in high demand to visit schools, libraries and festivals around the UK. Doughnuts, Thieves and Chimpanzees is his award-nominated second book of poetry.
